The solid reflecting surface is different from that of the liquid and it is not a plane, which shall be considered during installation. The probe emitting surface shall be perpendicular to the surface of solid to be measured and the probe shall be exposed from the connecting pipe.
At the solid measurement site, in most cases, probe inside the connecting pipe will lead to pulsating of measured data or "wave loss". To solve the problem, the universal flange can be used.
