Introduction

This is a kind of wall mounted ultrasonic flowmeter, also called non contact ultrasonic flow meter. The ultrasonic flowmeter is composed of three parts: ultrasonic transducer, electronic circuit and flow display and accumulation system. Ultrasonic transmitting transducer will convert electrical energy into ultrasonic energy, and will be launched into the measured fluid, the receiver receives the ultrasonic signal, amplified by the electronic circuit and converted into an electrical signal representing the flow of supply display and totalization instrument for display and totalization. In this way, the detection and display of flow is realized.

Ultrasonic flowmeter is generally used for the need to know the pipeline flow data of the project, the choice is divided into two kinds, Doppler for open channels, more impurities, more bubbles of liquid measurement, time difference method for a small amount of impurities, relatively pure full pipeline liquid measurement.

The Doppler method is suitable for biphasic fluids with a low heterogeneous content, e.g., untreated sewage, plant discharge, dirty process fluids; it is usually not applicable to very clean fluids.
