SUP-P3000 Smart Pressure Transmitter

This smart pressure transmitter is used to measure liquid, gas or steam level, density, pressure, and then convert it to 4-20mA HART current signal output, also can communicate with BST9900, HART375 or BST Modem, for parameter setting, process control.


The intelligent pressure/differential pressure transmitter adopts high-precision silicon sensor technology. The new intelligent high-precision transmitter is based on the electronic components of the microprocessor to achieve communication with field devices.

Working Principle of Monocrystalline Silicon Pressure

Monocrystalline silicon pressure (differential pressure): the sensitive element of the monocrystalline silicon sensor is to diffuse the P-type impurities onto the N-type silicon chip to form an extremely thin conductive O-type layer, and then solder the leads to form a "monocrystalline silicon strain gauge". Its electrical performance is to make a full dynamic piezoresistive Wheatstone bridge. The piezoresistive Wheatstone bridge is combined with an elastic element (i.e., its N-type silicon substrate). The medium pressure is transmitted to the positive chamber side of the silicon diaphragm through the sealing silicone oil, forming a pressure difference with the medium acting on the negative chamber side.

The result of their joint action is that one side of the diaphragm is compressed and the other side is stretched. The differential pressure makes the bridge unbalanced and outputs a signal corresponding to the pressure change. After the output signal of Wheatstone bridge is processed by the circuit, a (4~20) mA standard signal output with a linear relationship with the pressure change is generated.

Work Principle

SUP-P3000 pressure transmitter through corrugated, isolated diaphragm and filling oil, process media is pressurized to diaphragm of pressure sensor. The other end of pressure sensor diaphragm is connected to the air (for gauge measurement) or vacuum(for absolute measurement). In such way, it makes the resistor of sensor die change so that the detection system outputs different voltage. The output voltage is in proportion to the pressure variation, and then it is transmitted to standard output by adapter and amplifier.
