How Much Do You Know About Underground Water Electromagnetic Flowmeter

Electromagnetic flow transducer meter is widely used in many fields, ranging from the petrochemical industry to residential water. The application of electromagnetic flowmeters in our daily life is also very extensive. For example, an electromagnetic flowmeter will be used for domestic sewage discharge and drinking water. Today, we are going to talk about the electromagnetic flowmeter for groundwater. Why do we talk about the electromagnetic flowmeter for groundwater? The main reason is that the application technology of electromagnetic flowmeter for groundwater is very difficult.

As the name implies, the electromagnetic flowmeter for groundwater is mainly used in underground pipelines, mines, drainage outlets, etc. The wet underground environment has seriously corroded the electromagnetic flowmeter body. As early as 80 years ago, because the underground electromagnetic flowmeter was not developed, the ordinary integrated electromagnetic flowmeter was directly buried in the ground for use. Usually, within a month, the electromagnetic flowmeter body and the meter head were corroded, and the meter head was seriously flooded. Later, people began to use the split electromagnetic flowmeter body to make stainless steel 316L, and the meter head was directly led to the ground. To prevent water from entering, but because the interface waterproof technology was not as advanced as it is now, it was often unable to be used after a period of time.

In the coming 90 years, with the development of the Internet, a very powerful underground waterproof technology has been introduced in Hangzhou. Through decades of development, it has slowly evolved into the current underground eelectromagnetic flow transducer meter. Its main feature is that it combines the installation of a split electromagnetic flowmeter and seamlessly links the meter head and body through waterproof technology. Its unique waterproof and anti-corrosion technology allows the underground electromagnetic flowmeter to be used safely hundreds of meters deep underground, and the service time can be as long as several years.

Of course, the installation of an underground water electromagnetic flow transducer is also very particular. Here are the precautions for the installation of an underground water electromagnetic flowmeter:
Before installing the electromagnetic flowmeter, it is necessary to have a sufficient understanding of its installation method. The flow rate of the measured medium of a general industrial electromagnetic flowmeter should be 2~4m/s. Under special circumstances, the minimum flow rate should not be less than 0.2m/s, and the maximum flow rate should not be more than 8m/s. Therefore, more attention should be paid during installation.

1. The underground water electromagnetic flowmeter cannot be used for the non-full pipe flow. If the pipe is not full, the outlet can be raised a little. The water is still full when the pipe is still static. As long as the pipe is not flowing, the flowmeter displays zero.
2. Flanges are required for the installation of an underground water electromagnetic flowmeter, and the flanges on both sides can be screwed on with bolts, so the installation is very simple.
3. Ensure that the pipes at the installation position are full.
4. Ensure that the length of 10 times the diameter of the installation location in the water inlet direction is a straight pipe section, and the length of the following 5 times the diameter is a straight pipe section.
5. The reason why the pipe is required to be full is to ensure that the pipe is full of water. If there is gas, it is inaccurate. The flow calculated by the flowmeter is based on the full pipe.
When installing an underground water electromagnetic flowmeter, it should also be noted that there should be no strong leakage current on the pipeline where the sensor is installed, and it should be as far away from the equipment with an electromagnetic flowmeter as possible to avoid electromagnetic interference.

At the same time, after the installation work is completed, a careful inspection should be carried out. After the inspection and confirmation, the underground water electromagnetic flow transducer can be used.
The installation of an underground water electromagnetic flowmeter is actually the same as that of an ordinary electromagnetic flowmeter. The main reason is that the principle is the same, but the protection level of the underground water electromagnetic flowmeter is relatively high. Therefore, when selecting the electromagnetic flowmeter for groundwater, you should also consider your own use occasions.
